The aliens are very open creatures and don’t like being for themselves. They were very open about their culture and lifestyles and in respond I was fascinated. We are not mixed in fact we are very close since me and Mr. Walkman are the only humans in the spaceship so that makes them very interested of us as well. Their culture is different from Mr. Walkman and mine. They don’t celebrate Christmas or New Year’s and it kind did hit me because that is the only two holidays I love ever since I was a kid. But since they are very nice to us they said we could celebrate Christmas and New Year’s even if they don’t. Instead of celebrating Christmas and New Year’s they have three different kinds of celebration during the whole year. The first one is called “Long live the king” and is celebrated because that’s the day they announced the king of the planet. He doesn’t rule the planet he’s just the eldest so that’s why they gave time the title. The second holiday comes around summer time and it’s called “Blue diamond” and it’s celebrated because that’s time when the diamond grows on the apple trees. The last festival is celebrated in November and it’s called “November nature” because that when everything is green and beautiful. The grass and the trees are full grown and you will enjoy the nature.
I was very confused when Mr. Walkman explained all this information because first I had to celebrate it and second it didn’t really make any sense, it still doesn’t. But I respect their culture and it’s been a tradition for so many decades. I am looking forward to get involve with their culture so I don’t have to be ignorant and judgmental.
I don’t want to go home because I don’t need to go back home. I feel like I have everything right here, besides my family. I’m sure Mr. Walkman feels the same because he’s been working with moving from the planet all his life and I won’t think he will just go behind my back and leave me. I won’t go back home unless my father or mother have been in an accident or are very ill. This is my home weather my family can accept it or not.
